The Hawks dealt with an injury scare in their Game 3 loss to the Bucks when Trae Young went down Sunday.
Young suffered the apparent foot injury at the end of the third quarter. He stepped back after turning the ball over and his foot landed on top of a referee’s foot. After that, his ankle twisted a bit as you can see in the video below.
Young returned to action, but his status for Game 4 of the series is uncertain.
Here are the latest updates on Young’s status ahead of the Hawks’ Game 4 clash with the Bucks on Tuesday night in Atlanta.
Will Trae Young play vs. Bucks in Game 4?
Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports that Young’s MRI revealed the Atlanta star is dealing with a bone bruise in his right foot. That makes his status for Tuesday night’s game questionable.

Young’s ankle injury didn’t keep him out of action long on Sunday night. He went to the locker room to have the injury looked at, but he only missed a few minutes of game time. However, He admitted he was “kind of sore” when he was back on the floor.
“I came back in, it was kind of sore and . . . I couldn’t really go as fast as I wanted to and then when I did, it hurt,” he told reporters.
That comment does little to help clear up his questionable status. And even if he does play, he may not be at 100 percent. When he wasn’t at 100 percent last game, he was subpar, as he scored just three points on 1 of 4 shooting from the field in the fourth quarter.
Young has averaged 29.8 points, 9.5 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Hawks during the postseason. Needless to say, if he’s out of action, Atlanta will be significantly shorthanded as they look to even up the series against Milwaukee at home.
